What is Included: Housing
The University of Hull boasts a selection of accommodation choices in both its Hull and Scarborough campuses, featuring a choice of University and privately-owned properties. Students studying on the Hull campus are housed either in traditional “self-catering” residence halls or in 5- to 10-person student houses that are owned by the university. Students attending the Scarborough campus live in student residences or choose from a variety of off-campus options, including furnished rooms or flats in the seaside town. Accommodations staff offer assistance and advice to help students find suitable housing. Activities are also offered on both campuses, such as sporting events, discos, films, variety and cabaret acts, and concerts.
Program Description

The University of Hull has two campuses– one in the large port city of Kingston-upon-Hull and one in Scarborough. Both are on the north-eastern coast a short distance from some of the most beautiful open countryside in the U.K. The city of Hull offers shopping, restaurants, cafes, theaters, pubs, concert halls, clubs, galleries, museums, and cinemas. And if that is not enough, there is also an opportunity to watch soccer, rugby, ice hockey, or speedway. Other activities include surfing, water skiing, rowing, cricket, and much more.

Academics
Exchange students are required to enrol in a full load of credits. Full-time enrolment is 60 Hull credit units per semester (or 120 credits for an academic year), with most individual modules (courses) valued at 20 credits. Generally, students enrol in 3 modules per semester. It is not possible to enrol in more than 60 credits in a single semester.

Not all majors and courses at the University of Hull are opened to exchange students, e.g. Psychology courses. Be sure to look at departments NOT available to exchange students at UHull.

The lecture timetable (course list) is not finalized until the end of August/beginning of September. Students can use the previous year’s list to select modules. Download the module information guide and read this with the Module Catalogue. Students should pay attention to when modules are offered:

10/11 S1 – modules offered in Semester 1 (September – January)

10/11 S2 – modules offered in Semester 2 (January – June)

10/11 – modules offered for the full year and not available for just one semester
