Program Description

With all the natural wonders and unique Kiwi cultural experiences you won’t get anywhere else in the world, New Zealand is the ideal place to live and study. This program offers you the opportunity to enroll in a wide range of Massey University’s prestigious and innovative courses across the five colleges: Business, Health, Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Creative Arts—including an extensive program in Māori Visual and Performing Arts.

Massey University operates three campuses located in different cities on the North Island of New Zealand: Palmerston North, Auckland, and Wellington. Each campus offers a unique environment in which to study and immerse yourself in the local culture. New Zealand semesters differ from those in the U.S. You may participate in one or two semesters; Semester 1 runs from February to June and Semester 2 runs from July to November. Each of the three cities in which you can choose to study with Massey University have abundant opportunities to immerse yourself in Kiwi culture.

Massey offers several thousand courses across many disciplines. The university’s strengths include Agriculture, Aviation, Animal Science, Biotechnology, Commercial Music, Communication, Design, Environmental and Ecological Studies, Finance, Food Technology, Genetics, Human Nutrition, Natural Resource Management, Psychology, Science, Screen Arts, Sociology, and Sports and Exercise Science. Always popular with international students, Massey offers many courses with a New Zealand focus including New Zealand Flora, New Zealand Environmental Issues, Understanding New Zealand Geology, Contemporary New Zealand Literature, Māori Language, New Zealand Cinema, and New Zealand Economy. Graduate-level study is possible, conditional on applicant assessment. To apply for graduate-level study, students should supply evidence of having completed an undergraduate qualification. Please note that assessment for graduate-level admission takes longer than undergraduate admission.
